Summary

The Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011 (the Act) is the first new public records legislation in Scotland since 1937 and came into force on 1 January 2013. Its primary aim is to promote efficient and accountable record keeping by named Scottish public authorities.

This report sets out the findings of the Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011 (the Act) Assessment Team’s consideration of the Progress Update template submitted for Food Standards Scotland.
