This study carried out on shellfish from Scottish classified harvesting areas, fulfils part of the requirements of EU member states (EU Regulations (EC) No.1881/2006 and (EC) No. 854/2004) to adopt appropriate monitoring measures and carry out compliance checks on shellfish produced for human consumption.
