Wee Knob of Butter recalls Sriracha & Thyme Butter because of undeclared sulphites

Wee Knob of Butter is recalling Sriracha & Thyme Butter because it contains sulphites which is not mentioned on the label.  This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites.

Best before date: all date codes

No other Wee Knob of Butter products are known to be affected

Risk: Sulphites

This product contains sulphites making it a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites.

Our advice to consumers:

If you have bought the above product and have a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites do not eat it. Instead return it to where it was bought or to Le Petit Coq- 21 Byres Road, Glasgow, G11 5RD for a full refund.

Action taken by the company:

Wee Knob of Butter is recalling the above product from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.
