Hugh Black & Sons recalls Hot and Spicy Burgers because of undeclared Sulphur Dioxide

Hugh Black & Sons is recalling its Hot and Spicy Burgers because the product contains sulphur dioxide, which was not declared on the packaging. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites.

Pack size: 2 in a pack

‘Best before’ date: Up to and including 04 September 2024

No other Hugh Black & Sons products are known to be affected

Risk: Allergen: sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites

This product contains sulphur dioxide making it a possible health risk for those with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites.   

Our advice to consumers:

If you have bought the above product and have a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites do not consume them. Instead, return the product to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Action taken by the company:

Hugh Black & Sons is recalling the above product from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to inform customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.
