Carmichael Estate Farm Meats recalls various products because of undeclared sulphites

Carmichael Estate Farm Meats is recalling various products because they contain sulphites which are not mentioned on the label. This means the products are a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites.

Frozen - up to and including 13 November 2025

Beef and Bacon Burgers

 

No other Carmichael Estate Farm Meats products are known to be affected.

 

Risk: Sulphites

These products contain sulphites making them a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites.

 

Our advice to consumers:

If you have bought the above products and have a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites, do not eat them. Instead return them to the store for a full refund (with or without receipt).

 

Action taken by the company:

Carmichael Estate Farm Meats is recalling the above products from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products.
