Salt intakes reducing in Scotland – good progress but still more to do

A Food Standards Scotland (FSS) survey published today (23 March) finds that salt intakes in Scotland have reduced by 13% since 2006. We welcome this reduction and the progress made towards the Scottish Dietary Goal for salt.

Bramik Foods Ltd Withdraws its Mango Slices & New Crop Dried Figs

Bramik Foods Ltd is withdrawing its mango slices (100g), new crop dried figs (250g & 375g) because the products contain sulphur dioxide, which is not mentioned on the packaging. This means the products are a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide or sulphites.
